7 Health Coach Website Must-Haves (2026 Guide)
A health coach website needs more than good design. Here are the 7 must-haves - from clear messaging to easy booking - that turn visitors into clients.
You finished your certification. You created your coaching packages. You created a business social media account. You told your friends and family you're officially a health coach now.
And then you opened a blank Squarespace page and froze.
What actually goes on a health coach website? Where does the messaging go, what pages do you actually need, and why does everyone talk about this like it's obvious when it very much is not?
Launching your first coaching website isn’t easy- especially if you’re doing it alone… but it feels so much harder when you have no idea where to start, or what your website even needs to include.
But your website is essential- especially if you’re an online business, because 97% off people learn about a business online compared to anywhere else. It’s essential that your website includes the right content that helps build your credibility as a coach and drives conversions to that you can actually book clients and grow online.
I've built more than 100 Squarespace websites for health coaches, nutritionists, and wellness practitioners - and before that, I was just like you- an IIN certified health coach also trying to navigate my first DIY website. These are the seven must-haves I wish someone had handed me back then.
1. Clear Copy + Messaging on a Health Coach Website
What Should Your Health Coach Website Messaging Actually Say?
Your website's messaging is the words - the copy, the headline, the sentence that tells a stranger what you do in the first few seconds they land on your page. Visitors form an opinion of a site in as little as 50 milliseconds, long before they process any text, so your messaging has to work fast.
Three things need to be instantly clear: what you do, who you help, and the problem you solve. You should be able to say this in a way that is so concise you can say it in one sentence. (Hint- this is PERFECT for your homepage headline!)
Compare these websie messages: "Welcome to my website" versus "Root-cause nutrition support for career-driven women navigating hormone imbalance." The second version tells a stranger exactly what to expect within the first five seconds on the page.
Be sure to skip your industry jargon. A brand-new visitor is probably pretty new to your world and may not understand the scientific/technical language that seems natural to you. Be sure that you are speaking her language- not your language.
Remember, your website is a marketing tool, not a novel -skip the flowery language, too. A website isn't a personal essay. It has a job: get a stranger to understand you, trust you, and take the next step by booking with you.
Repeat your core message on every page so it’s crystal clear no matter how she enters your world.

2. Target Audience + Niche
How Do You Niche Down as a Health Coach?
"I help women feel their best" tells a visitor nothing. It's vague enough to apply to a yoga teacher, a life coach, or a smoothie brand - and vague messaging is what makes visitors bounce without booking. They just can’t really see themselves in it.
The instinct to stay broad usually comes from fear: what if niching down means losing people who don't fit? In practice, the opposite happens. When you try to speak to everyone, you never really connect with anyone. No one connects to generic or vague. But when you get really specific and focus on helping one person with one specific problem, suddenly you’re deeply connecting to her. She’ll see you website and think “OMG- this was made for me!”
One Glo website template customer, Ashley R, went from booking 1–2 clients a year to 10 in a single quarter after her messaging (and her niche) got specific. That kind of jump usually isn't about working harder - it's about a website where the right person can tell, in five seconds, that the page was built for her.
Before you even start building your website, get clear on who you’re serving and everything else will come easier.
3. Trust & Authority Building
What Actually Builds Trust on a Health Coaching Website?
Booking a health coach is a leap of faith - clients are trusting you with their body, their habits, their health, and their time. Your website's second job, after messaging, is proving you're worth that trust.
A few trust factors do most of the heavy lifting:
testimonials in your clients' own words
case studies that show a specific before-and-after
logos or press mentions if you have them
and a results bar with real numbers if you can back them up
Adding testimonials to a page increases conversions by an average of 34%, so this isn't decoration - it's one of the highest-leverage sections on your site.
Pro Tip: Your About page carries more of this weight than people expect. Visitors often make brand connections and build trust on your About page before your services page. This is where E-E-A-T shows up- Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness, the framework Google uses to judge whether content (and the person behind it) can be trusted. Your certifications, your own brand story, your experiences, and how many clients you've worked with all belong here to build trust and authority.
4. Organized Site Navigation
What Pages Does a Health Coaching Website Need?
Every health coaching website needs four core pages: Home, About, Services, and Contact. This is the 4-page framework every coaching site needs. Depending on your business, you may also need a blog, a sales page, an affiliate page, a shop, or multiple services pages if you run more than one program.
Here's how the core pages typically break down:
| Page | Main Job | What Belongs There |
|---|---|---|
| Home | First impression + direction | Headline, who you help, primary CTA |
| About | Build trust | Your story, credentials, philosophy |
| Services | Explain the offer | What's included, who it's for, price |
| Contact | Remove friction | Booking link or inquiry form |
How Do You Organize Your Website Pages?
Every health coach website page should have one clear goal. You may need more than three services page if you have 3 different offers with 3 different goals selling to 3 different kinds of clients. Remember to keep it simple. You don’t need 10 offers on your website to make sales. Some of the best converting websites have 1-3 simple offers. Here’s how to know when to split offers onto separate pages.
5. Clear Offers
How Should You Organize Your Offers on a Coaching Website?
The most common offer-page mistake is cramming three programs onto one page, or sending traffic to an offer page that's missing the information someone needs to actually book. Both cost you clients who were ready to say yes.
The fix: give each offer its own page. The only exceptions are program tiers within one offer (ex. 3 package tiers for one coaching program), or a services menu page built purely to direct traffic toward individual offer pages.
Every offer page needs the same six things:
Who it's for — the specific person this program solves a problem for
What's included — features and the benefit each one delivers
The process — timeline, format, what working together looks like
Investment — price or payment options, stated plainly
Social proof — testimonials to back up your claims
CTA - a clear next step (ex. book now, schedule a call)
6. Easy Booking
What's the Easiest Way to Set Up Booking on a Health Coach Website?
A visitor who's decided to work with you needs one clear, low-friction way to book - and this is where a lot of health coach websites lose a client they'd already won.
You have three main options: a simple contact form, a scheduling tool like Calendly or Acuity Scheduling, or a full client relationship management platform like HoneyBook or Practice Better. Squarespace also has native scheduling built in if you'd rather keep everything on one platform.
→ Setting up a booking flow with HoneyBook and Squarespace is easy!
Whichever you choose, fewer steps wins. Users are 2.8% more likely to book if the process takes under 2 minutes- so every extra field or click is a chance for a ready client to close the tab instead.
This means make sure that your booking process is:
Clear: it’s obvious and easy to take the next steps to work together- whether that’s inquiring, booking a call, or scheduling an appointment
Easy: it doesn’t take too much time or brain power. She can easily find your inquiry form or booking calendar and get on your schedule right away.
Zero Friction: Anything that can make her feel confused, unsure, frustrated, or just take too much time or too many clicks will dissuade her from taking those next steps. Make this as easy as possible.
7. Professional Brand Aesthetic
Why Does Cohesive Branding Matter for a Coaching Website?
A professional, credible site needs a clear brand style - a set color palette, consistent font pairings, and imagery that looks like it belongs together across every page.
→ Check out these brand consistency mistakes that make a site look unfinished.
This is worth more than it sounds like on paper. Companies with consistent branding across every channel see revenue increases of up to 33%, and the same logic applies to a one-person coaching business. A site that looks the same from page to page reads as more established, whether you've been in business four months or four years.
Consistency beats creativity here. It's better to stay clean and cohesive than to chase a wow factor that leaves your site feeling disjointed from page to page.
FAQs: Health Coach Websites
Q: What should a health coach website include?
A: Seven core elements: clear messaging, a specific niche, trust-building content like testimonials, four core pages (Home, About, Services, Contact), well-organized offer pages, an easy booking process, and cohesive branding.
Q: How much does a health coach website cost?
A: A DIY Squarespace build using a template built for wellness practitioners typically runs $300–$450 for the template plus a Squarespace plan. A custom-designed site from a web designer usually starts higher, depending on scope. (Flagging: confirm current Squarespace plan pricing before publishing — it shifts.)
Q: What's the best website builder for health coaches?
A: Squarespace is the most common choice for health coaches because it pairs a clean, professional look with built-in scheduling, blogging, and no-code editing — features that matter for a service-based wellness business.
Q: Do I need a blog on my health coaching website?
A: Not on day one, but a blog becomes valuable once you're ready to grow organic traffic. It gives Google — and potential clients — more pages to find you through, beyond your core four.
Q: How many pages does a health coaching website need to launch?
A: Four: Home, About, Services, and Contact. Everything else — a blog, sales pages, a shop — can be added once those four core pages are live and converting.
Bringing It All Together
A health coach website doesn't need to be complicated. It needs messaging that's clear, a niche that's specific, trust built in from the first section, pages with one job each, offers that are easy to say yes to, booking with no friction, and branding that's consistent from top to bottom.
You don't have to build all seven from scratch - browse templates built specifically for health coaches - they’re already built around this exact framework!
Either way, the blank page doesn't have to be the hard part anymore.
