… which is why it is SO important that your website is seen.

Because wouldn’t it be the worst thing to launch this beautiful new web design, only to have no traffic coming through? (Yes, that would probably be the worst thing.)

Creating hype around the launch of your new website builds an audience who is eager to learn more about you and what you have to offer. This helps you begin to develop relationships with potential new clients and get people excited about your services.

I help women in wellness launch successful online businesses with brands and websites that give them the confidence to become the leader of a thriving woman-owned business. The last thing I want is for women to feel lost when it comes to growing and marketing a successful business. Let’s dive in.

1 | Team up with industry friends and/or local businesses

Teaming up with other friends and colleagues in your industry is a great way to start spreading hype around your new website launch.

Know another professional in your field who is also launching something new and exciting? Ask them if they want to team up to promote each other for your new launches. You can create fun reels + posts on Instagram, create a new freebie together to offer your email list, or develop a partner-giveaway to encourage more traffic to your site.

When teaming up with others in your industry, consider reaching out to someone who’s brand is also attracting your dream clients. This way you know that their audience will also be interested in working with you.

It’s also important to consider working with someone who compliments your services. This means if you own a yoga studio, you might want to consider teaming up with the local juice bar in your neighborhood, the activewear shop down the street, or the health coach some of your clients also see. These are businesses that are not in direct competition with you, but instead are places that your students also frequent often.

2 | Share behind-the-scenes and sneak peeks

When developing your website, ask your web designer if they can send you some work in progress pictures or short video clips that you can share on social media.

This is a great way to spread hype about the launch of your new website because people love to see a work-in-progress. It’s exciting for your audience to feel like they are involved in the journey and can see how far you’ve come.

Good places to share these clips are in your Instagram stories or in your weekly email. Include a caption talking about why you are so excited about this new launch. Where do you see this taking your business in the next year+? How will this new website benefit your audience and potential new clients?

Another great place to share some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of your website are in your Instagram Reels. Create a reel describing the process of your website launch, or a before and after. Your audience will love seeing what it was like to launch a new website and get them excited to see the finished product.

3 | Run ads for your new website

Create some Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, or Google Ads for your new website. These ads can direct visitors to your email list where they can sign up to be the first to know when your new website launches.

These ads will create hype around your new launch- especially if you also offer a fun new free offer or giveaway to build excitement around visiting your site when it launches!

Ads are a great option because you can target your niche market when creating these ads. You can be sure that the right people are seeing these ads, and that this marketing tactic is not being wasted on people who just don’t vibe with your brand.

Even though this is a paid option, it can really pay out in the long run if your goal is to increase more quality website traffic and improve conversions with your new launch.

4 | Email marketing

Your email list is one of your strongest marketing tools and should be used strategically to promote your website.

Start building excitement for this website launch weeks in advance.

  • Share content including updates + sneak peeks of the process. Maybe share a personal post about your experience with creating this new website, refer your designer, copywriter, or photographer, or talk about how excited you are for the transformation this website will produce for you.

  • Create a new freebie, service offering, or giveaway that you’ll release on the day your site launches. You can hype this up over multiple emails.

  • Start sharing tidbits of valuable information that you’ll have on your new website. Maybe this could be a few tips from some blog posts, some educational information about the services you offer, or start answering some of those frequently asked questions.

5 | Host a special offer/giveaway

Host a special offer or giveaway on social media in celebration of your new website launch.

The point of your giveaway will be to drive more traffic to your website when you launch. So start hyping up this giveaway a week or two in advance. Make sure that your audience will have to go to your website to get the special offer.

Maybe your followers will have to send in a screen shot of your new website after it launches to show they’ve check it out, maybe they have to sign up for a certain lead magnet which they can only do on your website.

Get your audience to tag their friends in your promotion so that even more people are aware of this launch!

6 | Write a meaningful post about why you’re launching

Take some time to write out a meaningful social media post about your new website launch. It’s ok to get a little personal about this website launch because this post will be more memorable to your audience.

A few things you can talk about are:

  • The transformation this new website holds for you and your business, and the new possibilities it is opening up for growth.

  • How this new website will benefit your clients. Will it be easier for them to learn about you and your services? Will it be easier to book an appointment with you? Will there be valuable content like a blog or freebies?

  • Tell a story about the process, or a before-and-after that connects with your audience and gets them excited to see the finished product.

You can even break this post into a series of multiple posts if you feel like you have a lot to say about the topic.

7 | Collaborate with your web designer/ photographer / copywriter

Collaborating with the other professionals you’ve hired to help create your website is a great way to promote your new web design pre-launch.

You’d be surprised how many people can help in the launch of your new website. These professionals include your web designer, your photographer, and your copywriter.

Ask them about partnering with you to help promote your new site + their new work. Offer to tag each other in posts to spread brand awareness about each other and promote your work to a larger audience.

Be sure you are giving these creatives credit on your website too. Usually a great place for this is in your website footer.

8 | Develop a new special offer/service/product to drop at launch of website

Create a new product or service offer when you launch your new website. This establishes excitement in your audience and gets them eager to take advantage of the new offer when your website goes live.

You can promote this new offer to your email list, your social media followers, and even on Pinterest. Create a landing page for people who are interested in this new offer. They can sign up to a special email list if they want in on the new goods, and you can keep them updated with your new launch and release!

A few ideas for these offers can be:

  • a limited time offer (discount, product, or service)

  • a new freebie

  • a special sale

  • or a brand new product or service

Be sure you are promoting this offering weeks before your website launches .This is another great opportunity to get your audience to sign up for your email list.
