4 Things Your Coaching Website Must Include

Starting a new health, wellness, or life coaching business and need to launch a website, but have no idea where to start, or what to include on that new site? You can breathe easy. In this post, you’re going to discover four things you need on your coaching website.

Being a former health coach, I know how hard it is to launch your new website. I remember how excited I was to start my health coaching business… until it came to building my wellness brand and website. I had no idea what I should include on my coaching website so that I would attract and book more clients, look and feel like a professional, and stand out in a saturated market. It was a lot to think about!

Fast forward about 10 years, and now I design wellness brands and websites, helping women who were in the same position as I was by giving them tools, resources, and guidance to feel confident about growing their health and wellness businesses.

Here’s what you need to know about launching your coaching website:

Your website is one of the best ways to advertise yourself as a health coach, and it’s completely different than building a website for any other industry. Coaching websites require specific elements that will help you convert more visitors into dream client leads, and stand out authentically in your industry.

By optimizing your website by including the essential elements needed specifically for your coaching business, you could:

  • start attracting more dream clients to your business and see inquiries come through your inbox

  • stand out in your industry by showing up as your truest and most authentic self (and therefore becoming better aligned with your clients + future goals)

  • Feel confident about your website knowing that it is showcasing your value in the best light

1 . A Header that Grabs Attention

Did you know that the average time someone spends on a website is less than 15 seconds?

This is why making a knock-out first impression on your website is everything. (No pressure!) Your header is the first section of your website on your homepage. It is the first part of your website that potential clients interact with, so you have to make it grab their attention right away.

Here are a few expert ways to grab your ideal client’s attention in your website header:

  1. Include a catchy headline. This should include one strong and bold statement that tells viewers what you do and who you serve. It could also address a problem or desire your ideal client has.

  2. Include an image that evokes emotion. This should include imagery that has something to do with your offerings and the desired result that clients are looking for when interested in working with you. (If you’re a wellness coach, let’s stay away from photos of travel, flowers, or landscapes unless is it directly related to what you over.)

You can do this by including a professional image of yourself or a stock image of someone who could be your ideal client showcasing an emotion your clients want to feel. You could also include imagery related to your offerings. For instance, if you help clients cook nutritious meals, it could be healthy food. If you’re a meditation coach, it could be imagery related to meditation.

  3. Include your primary CTA, or call to action. Your primary CTA should be the number one thing you want potential clients to do when they’re on your website.

For coaching websites, this CTA is most likely going to be to book a consultation with you. Include this CTA in a bold button beneath your headline or in the top right corner of your navigation bar.

Examples of strong CTAs could be: β€œSchedule a Free Consultation”, β€œLet’s Chat!”, or β€œBook a Discovery Call”.

2. Offerings that Excite

Possibly the most important thing your coaching website must include is your offerings, or services. Most coaches have several tiers of coaching offerings and sometimes even additional sources of revenue like courses, digital products, or group memberships.

Your coaching website must showcase all of your offerings clearly. Here’s how:

  1. Create a services page that provides information about each tier of coaching offerings. For example, if you have a one month, three month, and six month coaching options, these can be included on the same page.

  2. If your business has multiple revenue streams, be sure you create a separate page for each one to make your sales copy and design super clear and focused on that particular offer. For example, if you have a coaching program, a course, and digital products, these should each have their own sales page.

  3. Make sure you include a brief description of each offering on your homepage. A great way to set this up is to create a section with a headline like β€œHow we can work together”, then include an icon or image to represent each offer with a brief description and CTA to learn more. Make sure you include the services section near the top of your homepage. Your offerings are the reason why someone is on your site in the first place, so it’s important that they understand how they can work with you right away.

3. A Brand Statement

A brand statement is essential to include in your health coaching website because it helps your dream clients identify that they are in the right place, that you’re the right person to help them, and why you can help them in a way that no one else can.

A brand message should be a clear and concise statement that tells your audience who you are, what you do, who you do it for, and how you do things differently.

This statement is essential for your website if you want to attract and book more dream clients and stand out authentically in a saturated market. This is why it should be included on your homepage. I like to incorporate this sentence in the header or in a section directly beneath the header.

4. An Inquiry Form

The number one thing that will set your wellness coaching website apart when your ideal clients are ready to work together is a customized inquiry form.

An inquiry form creates an elevated experience for your clients compared to simply leaving your email address on a contact page. An inquiry form is like a personal invitation and improves lead generation.

Here are a few things to keep in mind about your inquiry form:

  1. Include this on your contact page. It should be easy to potential clients to find, and the easiest place for clients to connect with you is on your contact page. Be sure this page is included in your main navigation bar. You can also rename this page to β€œInquire”, β€œSchedule a Consultation”, or β€œBook a Session” if that feels aligned.

  2. Make it personal. Instead of using the typical input forms like β€œName, Email, Subject, and Message”, get personal with this form to excite your clients about working with you. Consider asking specific questions like, β€œWhat health problems are you struggling with?”, β€œWhat makes you interested in working with [your name/business name]?”, or β€œWhat are your top three wellness goals this year?”. This helps to give you some more detailed info about the potential client, and already gets them thinking about the transformation they want to make.

  3. Let them know when they can expect a response from you. Be sure you include a brief statement above your inquiry form or in your submit success message that lets your clients know when they can expect to hear back from you.
